Directions:

PLEASE USE DIRECTIONS BELOW RATHER THAN RELYING ON YOUR SAT NAV.  ESPECIALLY IF COMING FROM THE WEST.  SOME SAT NAVS TAKE YOU TO DITTISHAM WHICH IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ESTUARY AND A 40+ MINUTE DRIVE AWAY!

From the M5/A38 (Exeter/Bristol/London): Leave the A38 on the A380, follow signs towards Paignton. Once on Torquay Ring Road pick up directions from Torquay/Paignton below.   It is worth checking Googlemaps before you set off to check traffic updates; sometimes it is quicker to come off the A38 further on, signed to Buckfastleigh/Totnes and pick up directions from Totnes below.

From Totnes (and for Kingsbridge/Salcombe/Plymouth/Cornwall): NB Totnes is a traffic bottle neck and can get congested in summer; worth allowing some extra time to get through.  Once in Totnes carry onto A385 to Paignton. As you drive through Collaton St Mary, take the right turn signed to Stoke Gabriel.

From Dartmouth:  Take the Higher Ferry across the river, to take the A379 towards Paignton. Turn left at the junction with the A385, signed to Totnes (Totnes Road), take the first left signposted Stoke Gabriel (Stoke Road).

From Torquay/Paignton: Follow the Tourist signs to Paignton Zoo on A3022, once at the zoo carry onto the crossroad junction. Go straight across onto the A385 Totnes Road take the first left signposted Stoke Gabriel (Stoke Road).

As you come into the village of Stoke Gabriel: follow the road down into the village centre, then take a right turn signed to the River Shack cafe/quay. Follow the road down and park on the Quay. (Daily charge of £6, cash only).

Please note on sunny days the car park can get full by 1030AM.  If necessary, there is another little car park back up the hill in the village centre opposite the Castle Inn, although it is actually the car park for the Church House Inn! This costs £3 CASH with a barrier.  Otherwise there is no parking in the village centre.  Drop your crew off and find somewhere to park on a residential street near the edge of the village. Nowehere is more than a 10 minute walk from the quay.  If you're having difficulties please call and we will try and help.
