Our main area of operation is on the upper two thirds of the River Dart estuary between Totnes and Dittisham, a beautiful expanse of tidal water in the rolling, green countryside of South Devon.   

We run a seasonal rental service from the picturesque, riverside village of Stoke Gabriel.  We can arrange starts, pick-ups and drops at other locations on the estuary by request, although our capacity to do so during the main summer holiday season is limited.  

Stoke Gabriel is located mid-way on the River Dart estuary between the historic towns of Totnes and Dartmouth, on the east shore of the river. It is perfectly placed to offer beautiful paddling in both directions with great destinations reachable at all points of the tide.

It takes 10-20 minutes to drive here from Totnes or Paignton.  For Directions to find us, please see here.

You'll see us when you arrive; we're based on the quay on the corner by the slipway, opposite where you drive in.  There is the lovely River Shack Cafe and a car park (£6 cash for the day).  There is a nice walk along the creek and into the village, and also along the shore at low tide.  You can happily spend a whole day here before or after your paddle with us.
